Prime Minister Mark Carney says it’s no time for politics as usual, as the country finds itself in the middle of a transformation that will define it for generations to come.
Carney made the comments in a campaign-style speech to rally party faithful on the final day of the Liberal party national convention in Montreal.
The Liberal leader called on Canadians to band together in the face of rapid geopolitical and technological change.

Carney also nodded to major accomplishments of past Liberal prime ministers — including Justin Trudeau — who Carney says walked the path of reconciliation with Indigenous people.
